From the Base of Yosemite National Park, a Boldly Balanced California Wine

Much like the pioneers of the Gold Rush era, Yosemite View wines highlight the rich, rustic character of this historic region. With grape growing roots tracing back more than 150 years, the Sierra Foothills is one of the oldest major grape growing areas in California. Mariposa County, home of the world-famous Yosemite National Park, is also the location of our primary grape source. Our winemaker emulates the bold, organic beauty of this California landmark in each wine while the Yosemite View label colorfully depicts the stunning grandeur of this national park.

Meet the Winemaker

The red wines from the Sierra Foothills require a delicate touch to bring out the full-bodied flavor inherent in the grapes while simultaneously maintaining the substantial tannin structure at an enjoyable level. Must of our fruit is from the northwestern corner of Mariposa County, just above Lake McClure and the town of Hornitos.

Our Yosemite View wines include:

It's all about the grapes...
Made from grapes grown in California’s Sierra Foothills, Yosemite View wines are a delicate blend of the region’s bold character balanced for delicious near-term enjoyment.

Vineyard proprietors include:

EJ and Shirley Miller
Zinfandel, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon are grown on this former site of a Gold Rush mine and winery, the latter coming to a premature demise at the hands of the ax-wielding women of Hornitos bent on taming the town.

Mike and Carla Kelly
A source of Zinfandel and Syrah, as well as robust Merlot, the vineyard sits on the site of an old encampment of Frenchmen who provided much of Mariposa’s produce during California’s Gold Rush. Some of the ancient fig trees on the property are over fifty feet tall!

Cliff and Mary Lou Gardner
This vineyard is our prime source of Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapevines are pretty hardy plants so you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to grow them, but that’s precisely what Cliff was in his previous life. The next time you see a photo taken by the Hubble Space Telescope you can thank Cliff, one of the lead engineers responsible for building this incredible instrument.
